MC-130J Project Virtue Rapid OMS Demonstrations

TSS supported the effort to host an Open Mission Systems (OMS) enclave on the MC-130J Special Mission Processor (SMP). TSS engineers supported multi-site testing and airworthiness certification required for military flight authorization. We specialize in integrating multiple systems together integrated with aircraft avionics.

Digital Transformation and Web Applications

Hypersonics Flight Software Development, Integration & Test

Open Architecture Maturation

TSS is part of developing, integrating, flight testing, and fielding multiple technologies onto systems across all domains of the battlespace including subsurface, land, air, space, and cyber. Applying the correct approach to multiple open standards allowing true interoperability in a non-proprietary solution while achieving safety critical certifications where needed is what we are passionate about. 

Mission Computer Tech Refresh

TSS is taking a prominent role in Mission Computer refresh programs. The efforts require porting OFPs from established single-core MIPS and PowerPC solutions to multi-core ARM and x86 processing environments without compromising the level of safety certification and minimizing re-certification impact. The work includes device driver development (e.g. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429), standing up lab/test environments with each hardware delivery, and integration with an ARINC 653-compliant RTOS in a mixed-criticality system. 

Research & Development

TSS has ongoing Research & Development efforts that allow for rapid insertion of new technologies into very applicable missions to our current and prospective partners. Our team is energized and passionate about prototyping new technologies and capabilities that will make a difference. We are always open to discuss collaboration opportunities with other businesses to promote, mature, and integrate technology faster than our adversaries in a realistic environment. 

C-5 Super Galaxy CNS/ATM

TSS was proud to support the USAF Warner Robins AIMS Program Office and help the program obtain CNS/ATM certification. The effort included full lifecycle development and avionics design support that leveraged existing C-5 capabilities to modify a legacy platform to achieve program requirements and obtain the certification without major platform redesign.

LM-100J FAA Certification

TSS engineers provided full lifecycle development support to meet DO-178C objectives. The effort included comm radio development and a VHF crosstalk solution necessary to meet the mission and certification objectives. The LM-100J received the FAA Type Certificate Update in November 2019. 

MCTF - MC-130J Commando II

Support for this project involved integration of the Raytheon AN/APQ-187 Silent Knight terrain-following/terrain-avoidance radar, including cockpit display updates for fusion of video input with aircraft state data. TSS provided full lifecycle development support that met safety-critical airworthiness objectives.
