Mid-Senior Level Software Engineer C++

Description
Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a mid to senior level Software Engineer who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrows problems. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently / solo at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required, up to 25%.

Selected applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
  • C/C++ Software development experience
  • Experience using the Agile Software methodologies
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux OS Kernel
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • U.S. Citizen

 

Preferred/Additional Skills

  • Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, BitBucket, etc)
  • Experience communicating complex technical designs to software engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Embedded systems integration
  • Requirements generation
  • Active Secret Clearance

Mid-Senior Level Software Integration & Test Engineer

Description

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a mid to senior level Software Engineer who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrows problems. This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. In this role, you will develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size based upon the success criteria of a project, while working collaboratively with the team(s) to test items completed, either/both manually or by creating automated tests. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required, up to 25%.
